Rafting in Moab

We had read that the week we were going to be in Moab was going to have nice warm weather. That is, except for one day which would have a high of 61. Of course that day was the one when we were scheduled to go rafting. Oh well, we just dressed in long pants and jackets and climbed aboard the bus that was taking us up highway 191 to the put in site where we will white water raft down the Colorado River.

I

Nancy and Terry and us and another couple got in one of the boats. I took my camera but didn't take any pictures while we were in the boat as Joe and I were in the front and knew we would be getting pretty wet. We were also busy paddling.

It was beautiful scenery and we went through a number of rapids, class II and III I think. It was a lot of fun though it would have been better if a little warmer. We stopped for lunch and we were all pretty cold. Lunch was great where we could make our own sandwich or wrap including hummus, lunch meats, and avocados. I made a veggie wrap with hummus, avocado, tomato and lettuce. Yum Yum. There was also chips and cookies. The raft guides were very professional and a lot of fun. We continued on our trip and then headed back to the Campground for another happy hour and dinner out.
