Drove from Bend to Memaloose State Park, which is on the Columbia Gorge near the town of Mosier and not far from Hood River. This is a very pretty park with lots of trees, including some big Weeping Willows.
We lucked out and got a great spot with full hookups and with a view of the Gorge.
Gorge White House, an hundred year old farm, where you can taste wines and microbrewed beers and fruit and purchase your favorites. Their specialty was a pear wine which would make a tasty desert wine, but we ended up purchasing a few bottles of some red wines. We also bought a few pears that are grown there. It was a nice drive, including the view of Mount Hood still covered in snow.
