Roar of the Falls

Plans to go into Portland today changed as Savannah had been throwing up and not feeling herself. She probably ate something she shouldn't have outside. She is always putting something in her mouth and must have got something not so good. We decided to just take a drive and check out some of the many waterfalls along route 30. The Columbia Gorge area is famous for its waterfalls and there are 77 on the Oregon side alone. Multnomah Falls is one of the most well known and is the most visited natural attraction in Oregon. It is the second highest year round waterfall in the US at 620 feet and attracts 2.5 million visitors a year. The lush foliage and towering cliffs in the background make this a spectacular sight.

You can walk up to the back of the falls but it was rainy this day and we didn't take that hike. There is also a lodge next to the falls and a gilft shop where we bought a magnet for our collection that is on our refrig. Another falls we stopped at was Horsetail Falls which is 176 feet in height.

Another nice day exploring this amazing area. We went home and watched game seven of the Hockey finals with the Bruins winning the game 4 to 0 and winning the cup. It brings back memories of 2007 when our beloved Ducks won the Cup to chants of We want the Cup, we want the cup. We were fortune to have been there in person and to see all the players carry the cup around the rink.
